For those looking to upgrade or acquire a new NAS that is not in a desktop (DS) form but rather a rack version, good news! The new refreshed general-purpose 12-bay NAS has arrived. As a successor to the current RS2421+/RP+ model with a few new tricks and changes, let's see what the new RS2423+/RP+ has in store. Table of Contents . . . This article will focus on one of the underdogs when it comes to DSM's presence. MEGA.io (or MEGA.nz) is a platform that has been around for the better part of a decade. Founded in 2013 as a follow-up of the MEGAUPLOADS platform with a focus on privacy, security, and large storage offerings, MEGA now has a large following, stable service, and does provide a good enough environment to host your data. . . ⚠️ NOTE: The process explained below will work only with Portainer Business (EE) edition, and not with the community one (CE)! Using Docker nowadays has become very popular but is also useful for both SOHO and enterprise users and businesses. For that reason, there are many platforms that will help in both host and container management. One such example is Portainer. As a fan of the platform, I have done several articles here on the site on that topic. Those articles will cover most of what is needed to get started, but in this one, I would like to point out how can we utilize a compatible S3 platform to backup Portainer's configuration. For this particular case, I will be using Synology's very one (and new) C2 service, Object...

Table of Contents : Intro It was 2016 when Synology started to roll out their popular 4-bay NAS models in a version that supported more potential bays and offered more power to the NAS. These models, starting with the DS916+, had an eSATA port on the back and support for more RAM than their previous 4-bay version (like DS412+ or 415+) In 2018, Synology released the DS918+ model which had some visible changes to the previous model, and that look remained until today, with the brand new 4-bay version, the DS923+. Many were expecting this version even sooner but here we are. Just as the new year is about to start, the very first DS device from the new x23 lineup is here. Continue reading...
With the introduction of macOS Ventura (v.13) as well as the new iOS 16, Apple has also rolled out the new Passkeys features first introduced at WWDC 2022. Apple's introduction to Passkeys feature in macOS 13 and iOS 16 While Apple is not the only company going down the passwordless route, nor is it the first, it took a bit of time to bring this new password-free future to its customers.
