I don't understand what this is? No more Docker in Synology?

No, Docker itself will still be there.
Just the ability to run Disc Station Manager as a Docker (DDSM) container will no longer work.

Why did people run DSM in Docker? What would be the point? Virtually NAS's?!?!

So we could install Docker on the virtualized DSM, and run DDNS again from the virtualized Docker... and so on.

Think of the possibilities !!!

The real question is: why did people develope a DSM that runs in Docker?!
DSM inside a container heavily contradicts with the "one service per container" philosophy ...

Multi-tenant scenario, app and service isolation, testing new updates and features, etc

And VMM isn't supported on my NAS model.........

I'm using my DDSM as a gateway/proxy for my NordVPN connection.

I hear you m8... I switched to vmm just to get over it, but yes, it sucks for models that can't run vmm.
