Hello forum members. Apols if there's a posting category for this but I couldn't see one.
Please can I ask what else I might try to help solve the following ?
We're using our DS214play to stream media to various DLNA devices. Media server is installed and I'm now pretty familiar with the settings.
The problem is that some DLNA devices see and play media from the NAS - a Revo SuperSystem and 2 Roberts 93i radios for music and a Sony smart BluRay player (BDP-S3700) for video without a hitch. DS audio and DS video also work as intended on Android devices. But I can't get either of our Panasonic Viera TVs (40TX.... and 49TX...., both DLNA-compliant) or our PS4 to see the NAS. The PS4 is matched to the PS4 DLNA profile in the Media Service/DMA Compatibility/Device List and I've tried both the Panasonic 1 and 2 profiles for both TVs. In desperation I installed Plex server on the NAS which is claimed to work on my TVs but to no avail.
Thanks in advance
Mark

I’ve had issues with the NAS disappearing after being visible in the Denon HEOS app on iOS. Eventually it would reappear. I seem to have fixed this by lowering the SSDP advertisement interval, currently 5 seconds. I also use this field to force a re-advertisement/restart of the service by changing the value to 6 seconds and then back.

As far as I can see the profiles get set to default unless there's a match to something relevant. I use Default with original cover for most of my devices.

I've a customised DMA menu style that's aimed at my HEOS system, and blocks video access so that age restrictions are enforced by using Video Station and Plex. I also don't use Plex's DLNA server.

I'll ask but the answer will be yes ... are the TVs and PS4 on the same LAN subnet as the rest of the devices? DLNA works between devices that are on the local subnet, not across subnets.

Thanks for that @fredbert I'll try reducing the SSDP interval (currently 960 s).
In answer to your question, all of the devices on which the NAS is visible, or not, are connected to the same wireless network.

Fingers crossed, NAS visible now after that change, thanks again
