You can use a custom domain with SSL or you can use a DDNS solution with Synology domains or 3rd party registers as well. Also, you will then be offered to make an SSL cert automatically (with syno domain).

Another option is to use QuickConnect solution from Synology as well, also using a free SSL cert. So, all in all, there are options.
