My home video files are stored under the Photo folder of DSM rather than under the Video folder which are only reserved for downloaded movies.
When accessing the mapped Photo folder in Windows 10 or Photo Station, all home video files therein are visible and playable. However when accessing synology nas on TV via DLNA, only the top level file folders are shown, with no content shown underneath. This suggests incorrect settings on viewing permissions, I think.
Access permission had been granted to all users. However, checking through Control Panel>Shared Folder>photo>Edit, I found that the 2nd box “Hide sub-folders and files from users without submission” had been ticked. I tried many time to un-select it but was not successful. It seems that I had to do it through Photo Station.
My question is whether I’m on the right track in resolving this issue and even if not, how to un-select it.
Thx.
