Hello, thank you for this forum.

The Synology help article is missing how to relink an existing backup task for LUN,
and Google is no help because I am maybe not using search terms correctly.

I can relink all existing backup tasks for all shared folders - no problem.

What I am talking about is Hyper Backup -> LUN Backup Wizard - there seems to be missing a 'relink to existing task'.

If you open Hyper Backup and click the plus sign, then choose LUN backup task, then choose the existing LUN backup folder you get an error:
"The Directory is already in use by another task. Please specify a different name and try again."

I have a feeling I am missing something obvious and do not want to recreate a 3TB LUN backup.

thanks

update in case someone follows this path -

I got into this situation because I preferred a clean install of 6.2.2-24922 in case of upgrade issues.

After you nuke from orbit Hyper Backup provides a way to reconstruct/reconnect your backup tasks and continues where you left off, no problem.

If, however, one of those backup tasks is an iSCSI LUN, I could find no way to reconnect that backup task.

So I deleted/created the 3TB LUN backup which takes 2 days w/7200rpm drives + USB 3 encryption (cuts write speed by 50%), but much quicker than contacting Synology via email.

If you have a 3-2-1 backup plan it's an acceptable risk.

There may be a way to reconnect your LUN backup task to pick up where you left off but I didn't immediately see one.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you nuke from orbit?!
was fighting a long time with previous 6.x.x series firmware. SMB/CIFS issues, phantom S.M.A.R.T. sector issues, etc.
I wanted it gone. Obliterated.
Go to Control Panel-->Reset, click the red button, place a check-mark in the "I understand..." box and the numbers count down 5-4-3-2-1, then press the red button. Then enter launch code (your password).
It's the only way to be sure.

Unfortunately, HB does not support QC. It's either, a public IP, DDNS, or LAN IP.

That will work with 4.1 version. Looks like user feedback has been implemented.
