Link shortener

PM with details on your setup and lets take it from there. Also, if you are in a market for a shortener platform, have a look at this topic as well

A few posts in, there is a link to an article on how to setup this new platform in Docker.

In any case lay me know with as much details as possible what your current problem is and we can take it from there

Thank you for your prompt attention, I will read your article about shlimk.io, will take some time considering my problem in eyesight staring at the high contrast screen used. Will try to copy and paste somewhere and read from there on.

Do you have YOURLS_SITE variable defined pointing to your own domain?
Hi, just found this thread and really appreciate the tutorial. I've installed Marina DB and followed the instructions to set up a Docker URLs (yourls). I'm running in a few issues however:
1. After launching I get a "Docker container URLs stopped unexpectedly."
2. Looking at the terminal window output, I get errors as well (see screenshot)
3. Additional complication is that I use Google Nest Wifi mesh, but have mapped the port 3000 to 3000

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

There seems to be a problem with yourls container connecting to the DB side.

Considering that you haven't started using this app, if I could suggest going the Shlink route. It is a much better solution (and more modern as well). I have been using it for the past 8 months with 0 problems and works really well.

Hi. Thanks for sharing this. I've set up the server, generated the API Key and connected the server to the web interface.... however, the functionality doesn't seem to work. No matter the URL I put in (either on DSM or external), the resulting link directs me to my DSM instance.

I would be most grateful for suggestions on how to troubleshoot. Thank you!

Use your local nas ip and the port that you have for the server.

Configure after that your server via reverse proxy and it will have a public url that you want to be used to generate the urls

That is about the GB Ethernet maximum speed. 984/ 8 = about 120MB/s relatively high, not an average.

If this is a one-time deal, it might be a good idea to do this through Resilio Sync instead.
