Hello,

Today I tried to do a new setup of a domain on the active directory server package. I have had it running with a test domain without any issues, so I wanted to do it now with my actual domain.

I removed the test domain and entered my actual domain, it starts configuring the domain but after a while it fails with the following notification:
  • Failed to setup a task schedule. Please refer to DSM help
In /var/log/messages the following messages can be found:

I have tried:
  • Reinstalling Synology directory server package
  • Reinstalling Both directory and DNS server package
  • NAS power down and up
It looks like that there might be a file left behind, but I would not know where to look. I know that Sieberta was active on old forum on the active directory server, maybe someone has an idea?

Otherwise I will have to open a ticket.

Best regards,
Stephan

Well, after Synology had a couple of logins they repaired what was wrong. They said they were working already on an update that would resolve the issue.
