Man! You’ll need more than a syncing solution to go through your day. Back to the drawing board.

I think running a mail server with a DL would work best...unless there’s some sort of “app for that” add on that’s already been developed.

The basic thing you can do is flag mail (sometimes called follow-up) as it comes in and then a smart filter that looks for flagged mail. Only remove the flag when it has been fully actioned. In OWA you use rules to add categories (coloured flags), likewise in Mac mail.

I'm pretty sure the Mac mail flags were visible in different Macs using the same home IMAP account.

And add a message at the top, such like: "I'll let you sort this out..."
;)
I briefly setup a forward based on a rule to test. It would accomplish the objective for some, but not all cases. When an email comes in subject ‘statement from landscaper’ it’s then forwarded to her. Potential problem with this is the numerous forwards with attachments filled up the sent folder with attachment used storage space.

Do you get that many bills and attachments?! Are you living in Buckingham palace?!
Rhetorical question. Ignore.

And I thought we nailed it (I've actually hung my hammer back) and was about to call for a cookies celebration at the lounge :(

Looks like you're going to activate plan B. The "install Mail Server" plan. God have mercy on all of us.

Is this in Gmail? I used that for years and there weren't any sent copies. Create a filter and then forward to one of your registered mail addresses. It's more of a redirect than a forward.

If you have the option in whatever mail client you use to use redirect mail rather than forward then use redirect. What OS and client are you using?

It’s not much, and something that’s probably no big deal. It’s just weighing pros and cons

You actually are probably correct on this. I setup the forward address yesterday. Next is to create a test filter and send from another email account. I think I’m now vaguely recalling that there IS NOT a sent copy kept.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Well in that case I'll probably leave it as is. Thanks.
