I know this is a petty issue, but Synology Assistant keeps showing old NAS versions — the first and third lines are replaced by the 4th and 5th. Is there any way to tell SA to forget the old servers?

Thanks

Hmm never had that situation even when the nas drives were migrated. Odd indeed.

I can't see where this might be saved (Application Support, Preferences, ~/.Synology, etc). Is this persistent across reboots?

I only every launch Synology Assistant when it gets mentioned then realise it pretty useless except to find the NAS the first time, if find.synology.com fails.
