Why did Syno filter most drives from LVM?

DS218+ with 2*6TB WD Red 5400rpm
Dear all

As I was trying to recover a LVM volume on an external drive plugged via USB to my DS218+ following standard lvm procedure, I struggled to find the external LVM partition. It turns out DSM's default configuration for LVM filters out everything but the Raid array, as see n in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf, which contains:
Code:
# SYNO
filter = [ "r|^/dev/md0$|", "r|^/dev/md1$|","a|/dev/md|", "r/.*/"

Would anyone here have an idea why that restriction?

Thanks![/ICODE]
