Hello ,
I’m looking for some help about “docker container manager” on my NAS synology.
I was able to install Home Assistant with docker.
I am trying to add the new “home assistant matter hub” that works with ipv6 only.
I tried with my HOST but it says ipv6 “disable”. So I tried to make a new...
A simple enough task, but I’m missing something somewhere. I’m new to ipv6, so do please state the obvious, as it may not be obvious to me :-)
Setup: Fibre modem -> Eero router -> TP Link AC 1750 router -> Synology DS418
Requirement: FTP access to a share on the NAS from an external device...
My Synology version is DSM 6.2.3, and My home network does not have public IPv4, only public IPv6. I use an ASUS router for dial-up, with the Synology connected to the router. Some time ago, I could access the Synology DSM normally using the IPv6 address (or DDNS domain name), but recently I've...
Hi there,
more than a year ago I‘ve tested a RT660AX and wasn’t that satisfied because of VPN problems when ISP VLAN tag was set. As I’m now running a Raspi behind my Fritzbox I‘m thinking of buying a Syno router again. I’m using UniFi APs and I don’t need any WiFi performance and hope that the...
All.
One minute I can see where to post then I look away and its gone (ok down off the page under suggestions :-) Ho Hum..
Right.... I have an RT2600ac a SIP trunk and a Grandstream HT802 ATA, plus an attached DECT phone. (Shout if you want an intro into VoIP, but I don't want to discuss...
Hello,
Outbound mail via Google smtp (smtp.google.com) is failing due to name resolution returning an IPv6 address. A previous thread suggests to edit the following files:
/var/packages/MailServer/target/etc/template/main.template
/var/packages/MailServer/target/scripts/DaemonConfSet.sh.
But...
file /var/packages/MailServer/target/etc/main.cf
contains string
inet_protocols = ipv4, ipv6
if i edit it to inet_protocols = ipv4
and stop/start my mail server (via DSM) string gets back to
inet_protocols = ipv4, ipv6
I appear to have missed the Server forum and previously posted this in MailPlus...

So while I continue to work out the trouble, what's my trouble?
At first I thought it was DKIM, but maybe not. If its just...
Hey guys first time poster. Long story short I’ve had the RT2600ac router for a few months now. It’s hooked up to my Motorola MB8611 modem that I just purchased a few days ago. The router was hooked up to a previous modem and had no issues. But now when I hook up my pc to the Motorola modem the...
Just for your information.
I was struggeling with the IPv6 address, my DS620slim would not pick up a full IPv6 address.
Several other devices in my network had a IPv6 address (but not all of them), and I was puzzled for a while to get it solved.
It appears that the Netgear GS108Ev3 (prosafe...
I made some tests on my DS620slim (all SSD), as I was not 100% happy with the difference between Read speed (115MB/s=ok), and Write speed (78MB/s=low).
Both speeds from windows 10, with samsung M2 SSD, CAT6 cables, Netgear GS109E switches (2x) between pc and nas. reading and writing a file...
Hi all,
I am struggling with basic IPv6 config on my MR2200. I don't know a lot about this and have made some research on the web, but the info I found concerns advanced problems only and didn't help me. Synology's User Manual doesn't help either. So, maybe someone here can help by answering...
Hello,
I'm trying to set up a pi-hole container on docker installed on a Raspberry Pi on my system.
I need to figure enter the machine's local IPv6 address in the docker-compose.yml file for pi-hole, and I'm stumped.
As far as I can tell, the machine has two IPv6 addresses on eth0:
2: eth0...
Does the synology firewall handle IPv6 now? They says on the following page that it isn't but maybe things changed since: 10 méthodes pour sécuriser l'accès de votre NAS Synology
To add IPv6 support to our Docker containers, one first needs to enable IPv6 support in the Docker daemon. More specifically for our Synology boxes, the daemon.json file is located at /var/packages/Docker/etc/dockerd.json. Which begs the question: do changes to this file persist across updates...
