Push notifications are small messages that can reach audiences anywhere and anytime. While pop-ups appear only when audiences are on the site they belong to, push messages are independent of sites. They are associated with web browsers and apps.
Push technology, or server push, is a style of Internet-based communication where the request for a given transaction is initiated by the publisher or central server. It is contrasted with pull/get, where the request for the transmission of information is initiated by the receiver or client.
Push services are often based on information preferences expressed in advance. This is called a publish/subscribe model. A client "subscribes" to various information "channels" provided by a server; whenever new content is available on one of those channels, the server pushes that information out to the client.
Push is sometimes emulated with a polling technique, particularly under circumstances where a real push is not possible, such as sites with security policies that require rejection of incoming HTTP/S requests.
I have two PCs backing up via ABB and DSM desktop shows a notification whenever they complete.
Is it possible to edit these notifications so that I am only alerted when there is an issue / it has failed etc?

I am using Portainer and some other container monitoring tools in my DS220+, they will send notifications to my Discord bot (webhook).
I also enabled email notification from DSM settings.
Whenever a container stops (manually through Portainer or unexpectedly), I will...
I have a strange issue happening with email notifications. I don't know when exactly it happened but recently the notifications are not being sent as proper HTML but rather as simple text with HTML code in it.
Wondering if anyone would have experience or an idea on how to fix this...
so I _love_ synology's docker - and run heaps of containers. However - there is one container - a google photos sync which is scheduled to run ever hour - it syncs, _then exits_. That all works perfectly and was setup from inside the synology ui using standard functionality.
And every time...
I have a problem with push notifications on my two NAS devices and one VMM. I set push notification to work over Pushover like this:

This setting is turned off by default. Enabling it with mobile push notifications can be useful.
Of course, expect a few false positives (usually when you’re logging in from new places).
While you’re there, check the other options too :)
I would like to get notifications (like hyper backup can do - email and text) about the status of Cloud Sync if something goes wrong? Does anyone know if that is possible? I use Backblaze for cloud backup and for the most part, it is rock solid but sometimes it stops working and I won't know...
Hi all - Does anyone know if there's an "official" place to submit app feature suggestions?
For the Chat mobile app, it would be great to have the ability to have "anonymous" notifications of a new post. Currently, when there's a new post, the notification I get in iOS has the sender's name and...
We have 3 DSM servers connected to CMS and I can controll them via CMS. What does not works is the notifications. All 3 servers have all notifications to CMS switched to ON, I can see some notifications in the bar of each DSM but there is not a single notification in the CMS Control panel.
Here’s something I like and use. At least this works on iOS devices. I believe it’s the same on an Android device too, but I’m not too sure.
The below instructions are copied from Synology’s knowledge base.
To enable mobile device notifications:
Go to Control Panel > Notification > Push...
