6 months ago, I retired 2x 1TB Barracuda's that may have been close to 20 years old.... Replacing With 2x 2TB Time Tech SSD's..
This is in my "Experimental" NAS, that had Time Tech 8GB ram, and Seagate (Supported) Cache Nvme's.... (Also has an external eSATA chassis with TB Micron SSD)

Since V7 doesn't support HDD to SSD drive upgrades..... I started over with 2x blank SSD's installed... and manually re-configured to same state as before the upgrade.... Sure would have been easier if Synology would support HDD to SSD Drive upgrades, or visa versa!) like V6 allowed!!!

After install, reset the same automatic file copying procedures, so that it has same Securyity Pics and Videos from other 2 NAS, and share's it's 2 cam pixs and video to other 2 NAS's (Other NAS's using 7200 rpm Ironwolfs)

It's been 6 months.. Since the SSD upgrade. No issues encountered....

for the last year I have been running a DS620 Slim with 6x 256gb Kingstone SSDs. This provides me with applications Chat, DS Photo and Synology Office. Pretty snappy and no issues at all with SSDs. I think starting next year I will start swapping them out with 1TB SSDs, should be a real fast rebuild. I started initially with 4 and expanding to 6 was quite fast.
