This is really weird...
This is with DSM Version 7.2.1-69057 on a DS1821+.
Flags are drwxrwxrwx+ for all subfolders in the shared folder "photo", so far so similar.
Perhaps as an artifact from the previous, updated from DSM 6.2, the owner is PhotoStation for a number of folders.
Likewise the group is also PhotoStation for a number of folders and not always both owner and group.
Oddly enough there seems to no longer exist a PhotoStation group? Even if absent from the admin gui in DSM it does exist, maybe,
because the system very friendly tells me its either reserved or exists, if I try to create it.
Some examples:
drwxrwxrwx+ 1 PhotoStation PhotoStation
drwxrwxrwx+ 1 admin users
drwxrwxrwx+ 1 admin PhotoStation
My admin user can thankfully access everything but my everyday normal user cannot.
My normal user is of course a member of "users"
First thought was to check if there was some sort of pattern or method to the madness if you like.
Much to my disappointment there seems no such pattern is at least obvious...because...
Some with owner = admin and group = users, folders are accessible and some not.
Likewise for owner = admin and group = PhotoStation
As an additional issue, SSH with the admin id to the NAS only works so, so -> synogroup -sh: /usr/syno/sbin/synogroup: Permission denied.
I wouldn't be all that suprised if it's down to me having done something less than stellar.
Anyway, any ideas, pointers to info would be greatly appreciated. If only so that I can learn what I perhaps did do wrong.
