Accessing photos's in Photo's and Albums

Hello, I am using Photo's (and its predecessor) for many years and am happy with it (however I miss manual sorting and sorting option per album). I have put all my collections in the Shared Space and created a group profile by which I can provide access to family and friends with an account on my NAS to these collections. What I cannot solve is that apart from the Photos (the menu item), also provide access to Albums (the other menu item) where there is information on Subjects, Locations, Tags, etc. The group profile has access to the photo folder on the NAS and access to the App. I have searched numerous places on the Internet but cannot find a way to solve this. It seems Albums doesn't have the concept of Shared Space. Is that the case and if so why? Thanks in advance for your response.
