Apple M1 crash/freeze when searching synology share in finder

I am happy to confirm that the search issue, in combination with universal search on mac M1 has been solved in the Mac OS 11.3 that came out today.

From the changes it looks like the M1 was not playing well with some Realtek NICs over SMB. So I guess that was the reason why I did not have the issue - I run an Intel NIC (Synology branded) and not the inbuilt Realtek NICs.
