On the rt2600ac, recent firmware updates have apparently added the ability to assign LAN ports to specific networks (Primary, Guest, etc.) (Go to Status, and then Port Status to see the assignments). But I don't see how to change the assignment of a LAN port from, for example, Primary network to Guest network. Is it possible? Or is it done at initial setup? I'd hate to have to completely wipe my router's configuration, including firewall settings, and start over, just to assign LAN Port 4 to the Guest network, for example. Am I missing something?

OK, figured it out. The main guest network is wifi only, but you can add another guest network and bind that to any LAN ports you want. So my solution, since I didn't want to have to reconfigure all the light bulbs, chimes, and other things on my guest network, was to change the LAN address range of the guest network (i.e., from 192.168.2.1 to 192.167.3.1) change its ID and deactivate the radio for it, and add a new guest network, giving it the LAN address range, ID and password of the old guest network.

Yes, I just checked and you're right: the specific Guest private network/VLAN has no way to assign a LAN port to be its access port. The other private networks do support this in their Edit windows. I suppose they think , in a home environment, guests will use WiFi only.

A quick way to switch your current Guest devices to a different private network is to replicate the SSID, password, and subnet. An alternative could be to connect a managed switch to one of the router's LAN ports, one that is configured as 'trunk'. The switch's router port would be VLANed for primary (untagged) and Guest (tagged), if you want the other private VLANs would be tagged. Then configure the other switch ports to be on all VLANs but make some untagged for Guest VLAN. This results in devices connected to a port will be assigned to the untagged VLAN, unless they are already configured to tag for a different VLAN.

Depending on the deviceyou want to connectwired to the Guest network: if its network settings support VLANs then just assign it to VLAN 1733.
