For me again an interesting read on the failure rates of HD in a datacenter.

It appears that drive manufacturers have succeeded in lowering the initial failure rate a lot.
At the same time delayed the time where failure rate goes up.


I understand that some of us will feel the need to debate the data and the statistics. We know the limitations.
This post is not intended to start that discussion again, there are other posts more suitable to do just that.
All other reactions are more than welcome :cool:
