I am able to download my site to my pc using Filezilla with no issues.
But after seeing this solution: How to backup FTP to Synology Station - Evotec using a Task Scheduler Script
wget -m ftp://<username>:<password>@<server_ip>/* -P /volume1/SecureBackups
tar -zcvf /volume1/SecureBackups/backup-$(date +%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M-%S).tar.gz /volume1/SecureBackups/<server_ip>/
I thought I found the perfect solution for unattended regular backups to my Synology.
Unfortunately, I cannot get this working for me.
To try something different (but not the solution i want to use) I went to the download station and tried to access but again no luck, i just see a message "Broken Link".
Why I can access the GoDaddy server from my pc but not from the Synology is beyond me. Would you have any ideas?
I have 8888 and 8844 DNS setup.
I wish there was an easy app for this but using the task scheduler would do exactly what I would like to achieve.
Many thanks!
Jaap
