AdGuard Home is better.

I've tried both, I disagree. It's prettier but not better in my opinion. Adguard Home is for people with kids that want to block websites. While that's good, PiHole has a much wider audience with way more block lists and developement. I always feel like Adguard is shoving their paid features in my face and that's where they focus their time and energy.
