I've installed some third party memory into my Synology DS418Play and it appears to be working just fine and I believe it is dual rank memory (it's g.skill and it doesn't actually show what rank it is on the label, but looking at the chip configuration, it appears to be dual).
However, I tried to verify this by logging into the NAS via SSH and using
However, in the result it just says Rank:Unknown.
Is there any other way to check/confirm rank? What about installing an alternate utility like CPU-X or Hardinfo? Is that even possible on a synology nas?
