what about to install the APP to Diff folder than c:\programdata\opencpn
what about here: c:\opencpn
then you will run out from "extra hidden" Win folders in your case. It must works

- from one side it's about Syno restriction - because newbies would like to "backup" also data from System protected folder, but they don't understand, that this isn't the backup.
- from another side isn't good for some, who need just backup some file already installed in these folders = c:\programdata
There will be helpful "I'm Mcgiver" button, but ...
