Welcome to the forum.

Can you access the NAS via the switch? Is the NAS connected to the switch or to the router? Also, when you say you can't access the NAS, what method are you using exactly?

The nas is connected to the switch which also have the pc’s connected . Before I was accessing the nas from Mac finder with its address name. I didn’t need its ip address just the name that I gave it and username a password . Now when I try to see the synology server I cannot see it on my network . And if I try to connect with the previous method is says it cannot find it

Guess you will have to use mode 1 reset method on the back of the NAS to reset the network settings in order to detect the NAS and continue forward.
