3 NAS's... 718+ and 720+#1 has same identical Ironwolf drive types...
720+#2 is the one with old Seagate 1TB 7200 rpm Baraccuda units retired from TV Station Raid use, and then used in local Raid 0... with patched firmware.... and years later, now in 720+#2 NAS. Everybody SHR.
Today get a popup indicating 'Drive Database' on 720+#2 needs to be updated... Please restart NAS to install the update....
OK...
After restart... Yes, Drive Database was updated to today's date: 11-08-2022 Probably because of these old Barracuda's with oddball firmware in them (That Synology says isn't supported, but I'm using them anyway)!
So Just for kicks, look at other two NAS's: 720+#1, and 718+... Both of these have 2x of same Seagate Ironwolf models (6TB) 7200 rpm.
720+#1 database dated: 9-21-2022. 718+ database dated: 10-27-2022
Now I'm confused.... Wouldn't/Shouldn't all NAS's be wanting to update the Drive Database at same (approximate) time or date?
Just being nosy!
