Hi all.
Before making any hardware purchases, I am trying to figure out whether it is possible to add a camera to Surveillance Station over WAN, thus NAS and camera are on a different location and under separate routers. I found an article on Synology KB (How do I add a camera in a different network to Surveillance Station? - Synology Knowledge Center) but it is unclear to me on which side the port forwarding needs to be and where would it need to point to.
Any guidance is appreciated.

Yes. You will need to keep in on a static public IP address (v6 is not supported), and you will need to open a port on the router side where the camera is so that the SVS can access its stream. RTSP usually uses port 554 so that will have to be open, but it is best to check with the IP camera vendor documentation.

If you can create a stretched LAN (site-to-site VPN) between the locations, you would use the camera LAN IP address and open ports if needed, usually on the firewall side and not as port forward.
