I have a DS214+, with DSM 6.4
Synology Drive server 3.0.1-12667 is installed and I have Synology Drive Client on a windows 10 64 bits.
I'm using a professional java application which save projects in compressed xml files.
I had no problem with my old laptop.
In July, I migrate to a new windows laptop, installing synology drive and working on it with the java application.
--> Seems that all the files I worked on in July are corrupted. I've tried to recover old version, and this is the same.
I've contacted the software vendor, and after uncompressing the file discovered that the end of the xml file was wrong (as if someone corrupted the writing of the file on the disk).
I made several tests
--> deactivating Synology Drive, I have never succeed to have to issue
--> With Synology Drive uploading automatically each new version of the file saved by my app, I "succeed" to reproduce the issue: Closing the file and reopening it lead to error as the file is corrupted.

Do you already had similar problem with some of your files?
I don't have any issues with other type of files (word, xls, etc...) until now.

Came here after using Google because I also have the Drive Client corrupt files. I have a lot of movies on an external drive on my iMac which is synced to a shared folder on my NAS. Whenever I move a downloaded movie from my internal SSD to the external HDD, Drive starts to immediately sync it to the NAS even before the move is finished. This results in a corrupted movie on both my external drive and on my NAS. The copy on my external drive will have hiccups like digital artefacts and slowed-down audio. The copy on the NAS will just stop the playback completely when using Video Station. This problem does not happen when I pause Drive client so that it doesn't touch the file while it is being copied.

This is seriously bad! Someone started this topic over a year ago and Synology still didn't fix this crap?

File corruption is really bad, and I hope you can recover the files.

I have not seen this behaviour, I did see a lot of posts on file corruption in pictures and movies, all related to poor quality thunderbird/USB-C -to-Ethernet connectors on Macbooks.

I assume you have excluded this possibility already.
