Delete or hide the default shared folders (video, pictures, music) from the media server

Is there a way to delete or hide the default shared folders (video, pictures, music) from the media server, when I view media from webos lg TV I actually want to hide them and show only my custom folders that I created.

Not that I’ve found. I’ve been using it for a few years.

What you’re seeing listed on the media player as pseudo-folders that are collecting and separating the three different media types.

In Control Panel’s Indexing Service you can manage which DSM folders are assigned to the media types. These folders are use by Media Server (and other packages) so you need to add your custom folders here.

Within Media Server you select the DMA menu style, which means the menu structure shown on you player under the video, music, pictures main ‘folders’. While you cannot stop showing these top level folders you can use the customise menu options to design your own style, eg something that helps split out music folders hold HiQ files etc.
 
i'm wrestling with the same problem. I've set up what I hope will work and put test folders up with a couple of relevant (MP3, MP4) files. Then I've reindexed - my trusty DLNA client app fails to see them. Not sure what to try next.
