Deluge Docker

Hi all,

I just upgraded to DSM 7, and Deluge doesn't install.

I'm now trying to set up a Deluge docker image (for example; Docker Hub), but can't get any of them working. By working I mean I can't access the webUI at http://ipaddress:8112 after installing the docker image. I tried other images as well but no luck.

I'm a relative noob at docker, BTW, so this might be simple.

Thanks for any help.

Errors in container log? How are you running this container? Using Synology Docker UI? Can you share some more info on the container itself and how you have it configured?

Thank you. It's running in the Docker UI and it's just configured with the default container settings.

I'll check the log in a couple of days when I get home from work and get back to you.

There was an error about not being able to load the config file, but this was the first startup, so not sure if it does this and then creates one. I stopped it and started it again and it didn't seem to give that error.

This could be a permission problem. Try and add environment variables to this container with the user and group ID values that match your DSM account.

you will need to log into your NAS via SSH and run the id command. This will list your user ID and group ID (usually something like 1026 for the user (or higher) and 100/101 for user/admin groups.

Then enter PUID and PGID variables in your container and match the value, then try to run it. You will know that you have done it right as soon as you see in the log output user gid and uid values change from 911 to your exact values.

Thanks so much for that.

I tried that, and it doesn't appear to have helped.

When I say doesn't appear to have helped, I still can't access the webUI at http://ipaddress:8112.

Ah, actually, guess what? I just figured out that it's mapping a different port. Is this normal?

1628651127672.png

Confirming I CAN access it at http://ipaddress:49170 so the docker image is actually working.

Is there any reason I can't map the ports directly to each other (e.g. 8112 -> 8112)?
