I got the email to. But man.... Q3 2020 !?!?!?!?! What are they building? From ground up or so?
At one hand it gets me annoyed for taking that long and again delayed; one time is annoying, 2nd time agitating.. lets hope there will be no 3rd.
On the other hand, expectations are going sky high.

Sometimes is new system better than glue based fixing of “old” features (look for W8 story). Then we need to wait. Current system is running and we don’t need a trouble with a hurry approach. I appreciate this Syno understanding that they can capture or lose market.
Question is what Linux kernel will lead the new DSM, because the new one is really great.

I'm guessing that Synology think DSM 6 is still more than good enough to differentiate from the competition for the moment.

I'd be interested in a DSM 7 online demo, like they have for v6 Synology Live Demo

As much as this info makes me a bit sad, on the other hand, I personally don't want DSM 5 - 5.2 repeated scenario. It will be done, when its done. Maybe we will get a faster and shorter beta because of this. The bottom line DSM7 will be mass ready in Q2 2021. 2020 will be pure testing and delays.

Also, who says that Corona is not part of the problem as well.
