Display photos in the home

I have been looking for years to find a working solution to display my photo library. I've got pictures of friends/family/places etc., but i can only see them on my mobile or my desktop. I see digital frames like nixplay or other similar frames, and they all work with google photo library, picasa, or onedrive etc. I came very close to getting a Dak board, but same problem, it doesn't work with my NAS, only the major cloud giants.

Is there a product or a method out there that somebody can point me toward to get my library to shuffle through photos on a frame like device? Even better would be a smart shuffle for certain people's birthdays, or anniversaries like ive seen google photo do, just want to do it with my own cloud on a screen that can be wall mounted forever.
