You're working on a reverse zone and the Create menu is populated for a forward zone.

Meanwhile, I could try to update the DNS files directly? Does anyone know where these files are stored and are they edittable with 'Vi' tekst editor or something while in SSH with the NAS?

You can use Export Zone to export the zone. And Create has an Import Zone item.

Exporting 'complete zone' creates a zip with all the records in it.

I found it by first ps -ef | grep -i dns to find a process with /var/packages/DNSServer/target/named. Then guessed the place to look ls -lR etc. This showed my zones as file names in etc/zone/data and etc/zone/master.
