Synology Docker
Hi All
In previous post on this Synology forum, Rusty suggested Docker for some of my WAN facing applications.
Now I know essentially that its a stripped bare bones only whats needed O/S of sorts.
However, thats about it.
Any reading material you think I should get stuck in to.
I have a couple of websites, (one basic html, the other contains my database and asset and company management system.
The CMS System I use is dolibarr, and although there is a container build for it, at the moment, I am comfortable running that solution as a dsm VM. Primarily as I know its backed up, how to back it, and also how to retrieve and rebuild the snap shots if I need to. I also take backups of the database, so I have hopefully covered all options I may need in future if the worst happens.
Ok, so if I switch to docker, I need to know where its putting information, and how to back it up, and get access to the database as well if I need to. Currently via phpmyadmin.
Any advice appreciated, as I will be making hardware changes soon, and could get it all done at once.
cheers
