Do 2.5" HDDs have any protection against accidental shocks? For example: if your hand hits the HDD case while it is on the table and the HDD is turned on while it is operating
I have old HDD models WD10JPVX-08JC3T5 and HGST HTS541010A99E662

If you eject the 2.5" HDD in Windows 10 and then hit the HDD case with your hand, will it damage it and generate bad blocks? Did the shock move the HDD on the table?

Any older 3.5" drive enclosures (usually) had rubber grommets around the screw... But I'd doubt that this is good enough as the screw to drive distance is 1/4" or less... (even when screw is just lightly tightened)....
I have many 2.5" laptop drive enclosures and NOT ONE has any isolation....

Older SCSI drive chassis had somewhat greater isolation, (I'm still using one), but still, not much more.... than SATA enclosures...

SO I'd say DO NOT Expect much, if any, Isolation... and react to this information accordingly! I put foam 'feet' on all drives used regularly, to help, or.... at least it makes me think I've helped somewhat! :)

Used to do support for an accountant.... I could guarantee one visit or more, per tax year, based on him Slamming his fist down on desk in anger, and drive started throwing errors immediately afterward! A rubber matt under system helped, but did not fully fix the issue.... He didn't want system on console behind his desk.... So.... he did daily tape backups, and threw money at it with new hard drives often! (True Story!)

I use a 2.5" mechanical hard disk HDD inside a USB 3.0 enclosure case brands Orico or Kesu. I’m confused because some people report that some 2.5" HDDs + cases don’t turn off after ejecting in Windows 10 and don’t position the needles and arm in the safe position and the discs keep spinning. I don’t know if it happened to me because my HDDs are silent, only the case LED was on. They say that ejecting in Windows 10 only ends the writing and reading processes.

My models HDD 2.5" are: WD10JPVX-08JC3T5 and HGST HTS541010A99E662

Conducted a test via FTP, shows more than 110 MB/s, and through Synology drive no more than 30 MB/s.

You can say the same about PC applications. I wouldn't expect Synology to be different. Backup/restore.
