On your PC you can configure a dynamic IP using DHCP, but then in the DHCP server you can reserve the IP address you would have manually set.

If you have used a manual IP in the PC you still need to reserve the same IP so it doesn't get assigned to some other device ... assuming the manual IP is in the DHCP address range.

OMG gents, it’s a night mare :)
So wwwampy,
try these steps:
  • are you sure, that your laptops are running at wired LAN, during the “positive” fast speed?
  • if yes, are you able to use exactly the same ethernet cable to your “slow” PC?
  • if yes, do it. Better is bring your PC to laptop space and use same ethernet cable “way”
  • try the same test by Ookla, to the same servers (same as for Laptop’s Ookla test).
  • if the test will finish positive, open a beer and cheers
  • if no send us a status. Don’t use a harakiri.
Now seriously (for a negative scenario):
  • install Netbalancer from this link
  • it’s full trial for few days
  • send me a screenshot of the main window (attached sample)
  • as you can see (highlighted parts), there is live traffic of all your services running

Ok, I've checked everything I could and I've seen that when a cable was in power line the led light on router become orange (not green like others). Then I found a long cable (CAT 5E) and connect it directly to my PC (the cable went over the couch in our living room :) ) and the led light went to green, the speed was 192 mbps. So, perfect!

So, the next plan was to convince my wife that the cable around doors won't look so bad  She was and is still ok with it! :)

Hooray, I'm on cable without power line now and my speed if perfect!

Thank you all for suggestions and support.

I would recommend a Docker-hosted solution like GitHub - alexjustesen/speedtest-tracker: Speedtest Tracker...
