DSM 7.1 Downloadstation not downloading anymore with new router

I just exchanged my Draytek Vigor 2132F with a newer 2927F Fiber router today, and everything seemed to work fine until I wanted to download some files with download station.
Now I can't remember ever having changed something in the router specifically for my NAS, so I guess it should work, but it simply doesn't.
I can reach my NAS just fine, and I can also start a vpn connection (SurfShark) from the router, so I suppose the internet connection is fine. I can download the files directly without any issues, so it is not that the files do not exist, but in download station they do not show any progress of downloading at all, not with VPN, neither without.
Anyone some ideas what might be the issue? Do I need to set something in the router? Is there a way to have the NAS check the connection?

Guessing this is either a router configuration that needs some ports open or the new router came with some new ISP policies.

Guessing this is about torrent downloads?

that would be correct, but like said, I can download them directly without issues, so its not that the files are not available, I prefer using downloadstation though, it's a bit easier.
