I am using Drive Client to back up a couple of windows systems to my DS218+. I notice that after a few days, there are a lot of log entries (at least one for each folder and file). I can't locate where these logs are being stored, or how to clear or delete them. I did find a way to export debug logs, but that still leaves the log data wherever it is.

Do you mean this in the Log settings?

Oops, my mistake you're talking about the Drive client, not server. On macOS this would normally get dumped into the various log stores that Console uses. Must be something similar in Windows. Though I'm not sure why this is a problem unless your PC is running low of storage.

Clicking an item in the client log gives access to the file, and its versions and location. From my 454 pages of logs I see they only go back 7 days, maybe it's a rolling week? ...

Where exactly are you seeing those logs?
There is a Log section in the Drive Client on my Desktop. Here's a screen grab from that. I have only been using this for a few days, but there are now about 80K entries. I think these must be stored on my desktop, but can't see anything in the app that lets me clear them out - just wondering if the list will continue to grow forever.

Thanks, I will keep an eye on it and see how long it continues to grow.

It appears that the log doesn't grow forever. I switched one of the drives that I was backing up to Sync from Backup. The next time I looked at the log, this is what I saw - only the files handled by the most recent sync task. It's interesting that clicking on one of the items does not show any options, but hovering over it shows the file location. Difference between Windows and Apple, I guess.

I was able to find and purge the log in Windows.
C:\ > Users > [user] > AppData > Local > SynologyDrive > data > db
There is an SQLITE file called "History." If you exit the drive client, you can rename the file (or delete) and it will create a new blank file when you restart the client.
