Wish they would build a setting in VS that remembers a default subtitle selection: I include subtitles but want them turned off normally.

Oh, thank you for noticing. I had the iPad for more than 3 months now I guess. I use GoodNotes to take notes and with the Apple pin it’s amazing. I really spend a lot of time on the iPad, so it’s kind of justifiable. That’s what I tell myself

Re. subtitles: on Apple TV, it was my son that suggested to just set the default opacity or translucence so that the subtitles were displayed but invisible. It really shouldn't need this.

As for Plex: I have it running for just music folders, since I don't use age ratings on these. Apple TV doesn't have a DS audio app so this was an alternative way to control it. But I usually just using DS audio on iOS and select the player to be Apple TV (not airplay).

For using age ratings (multiple users) Plex needs a paid pass whereas VS doesn't. That's the main reason I use VS, and users get a set of ratings they can see without needing to enter a PIN.

I don't use any of the Syno apps for media. I just use a Kodi build on Amazon Fire TV boxes.
