On my DS218j, synoscgi is massively forking out subprocesses. I constantly have around 300 synoscgi processes running, with additional 30 odd query.cgi processes. This is creating a ridiculous load and massively deteriorates the overall performance. What's starting them, and more important, how do I get rid of them? The box is used for rsync based backups exclusively.
