DSM 7.0 DSM 7 compatibility lock down

I am running a DS415+ upgraded with 8GB of memory. I have been running VM Manager installed manually. After upgrading to DSM 7 beta, VM Manager no longer runs. The message is that VM Manager is not compatible with my DSM model. I understand that I am running this configuration at my own risk but looks like Synology is forcing the issue now with DSM 7. Bummer.

Well it is clearly not listed under 415 model for dsm7

I agree that it is not a supported configuration (and neither is 8GB of memory by the way) but my thought is that it shouldn't be blocked. At my own risk, my thinking is that I should be allowed to try it. Hopefully the block is a beta issue so false issues don't come up (would make sense) and that they will allow it once 7 is released (we can only hope)

On a similar thread, I wonder how a DSM 7’d DS418play works with the unofficially supported Docker. A few on here installed Docker manually under DSM 6.
