DSM 8?

So, what do you think we will see in DSM 8? Without checking history, I don't think we'll see a DSM 7.3, I don't remember any DSM-versions going higher than x.2? I might be mistaken.. Anyway, I'm waiting for a heavily upgraded Synology Photos that brings back alot of features from Photostation (however I doubt it..) Some other killer features for homeusers would be nice aswell (unsure what that'd be at the moment though.. ).

More lock down so Synology only drives and apps. More key components spun out as separate app so they can fix bugs without admitting DSM is bug ridden software.

That surely won't happen. Only mediocre packages and tweaks to half-developed packages of unnotable and nondescript value, and additional hacks to prevent OS mods.
