Hello everyone,
This weekend I acquired a DS218+. I already had an old DS212J. I migrated the disks and tried to install DSM. However it gets stuck right around the 56% mark. I had a spare WD Red laying around, but it shows the same issue. Synology Assistant can find the DS218+. I also followed the recommended update paths from the Synology site. Issues pertains. I learned that once it fails Telnet is being opened, so I logged in and watch the logs while its was trying to install. To be fair O don’t know what’s going wrong. It seems like it’s uploading the .pat file, extracts it, installs, but at some point starts throwing errors around “synoboot mounting”. Can someone maybe help me out to solve this mystery? I added the log below:
