I am getting this error when trying to access some old Hyperbackups (hbk files). These were created in my previous Diskstation which I no longer have.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Is there a DSM difference in the archive vs. you present situation? DSM6 Hyper Backup cannot open DSM7 Hyper Backup archives.

What about ownership? Is the owner of the hbk file the same as the user you are logging in with?

Thanks for your replay. No OS difference, still running DSM 6.

Yes, I am login with the admin account which is the owner of the file. Now that you ask, It really does look like a permissions issue but I don’t know where.
