Hi!
How can I setup my file request link created in File Station to be accessible for external people (so not DSM users) via my custom subdomain and on the standard port 443? What should I exactly do? Login portal, reverse proxy, setup a new DNS record, create a new Lets Encrypt certificate for my new custom subdomain? Any help, please, how and what to do to get it work?
My goal is, when I create a new file request link that File Station will generate a link like this: https://upload.mycustomdomain.com/sharing/xyz - so there is my specific subdomain and no port visible in the link (so I suppose it would work just on the port 443).

Thank you!

You will have to have a valid domain name ofc, cert and all that, but there will be no special need to have anything more setup on that machine (ofc unless that machine is also your reverse proxy!)

The point is that the file station share link will work automatically, when you log into File Station (or DSM) via its custom domain URL. So if you are able to access it via 443 (over reverse for example), using the share link option should automatically adept the URL to match your FQDN name and add the /sharing/xxxx sufix.

This is how I do it and have been using it for the past few years
You only need to set up in 2 places: External Access>Advanced and Login Portal>Applications.
- First, you must set up a Reverse Proxy for the application with that particular domain name. File Station is supported directly from the Application Login Portal, so just declare the custom domain name here (upload.mycustomdomain.com) and it's ok;

- Next, declare this domain name (upload.mycustomdomain.com) and port (443) in the External Access>Advanced section.

Then test and enjoy the results.

Thanks.
The problem is that this will affect the accessibility of my DSM. Say that I want my DSM to be accessible on different subdomain and port than the file station (or better say shared links to upload folder). Then this will probably wont work, right?

Can't everse proxy can help with those considerations?
