FreshRSS: A free, self-hostable news feed aggregator

Docker FreshRSS: A free, self-hostable news feed aggregator

I use it with the Reeder app and wanted to have filtered feeds there. I'll play around with it a bit more.
Did you ever get this working?

I've been playing with filters on my BBC News feed because I want to exclude football articles. I tried a filter on the feed, inurl:'sport/football', testing both single and double quotes, but the articles kept coming. I even tried copying the single quote FreshRSS has in their documentation, no good. I have found that excluding any quotes does work. Now it might be that the parser expects to find a <space> in the quoted text and so it fails when there's none.

Ages ago a put a negated '!' filter on an Apple news feed and think it works. But I don't look at the read articles to see if there are ones O don't recall seeing.

I just applied the !synology filter to the SynoForum articles in the main web window and both it and synology filters looked to work.

In my BBC News feed I set articles to be read when their publishing date is older than 1 day. That would be negating the filter for only in the past 1 day... !pubdate:P1D and for good measure !date:P1D. And because they BBC has got very multiple-post-y for the same article in their main feed ...

So it does seem to be working for me. And I can say that when the BBC man news feed started being repetitive then the identical title filter wasn't working on it, or not reliably. But now it does work. The thing I have found to do is first test the filter text in the main window and then add it to a feed's filters under its Manage settings.

I have found that I'm using FreshRSS web, with ThreePanesView extension, on Mac much more than Reeder now. But Reeder is the go to on iPhone.
