As I don't like SSH (yeah I know) I was hoping that I could use an FTP client to connect to the NAS and change the permissions on files in he 'web' directory. I've set up FTP on the NAS, and can log in with an account with FTP privs, but when I use the permissions option and change a permission nothing changes.

Is there something I'm missing or is this not possible?
