Hi,

After getting my ftp to work with my subdomain I noticed 2 things.

1. The login message is boring and way 2 informative
2. The direct pointing out to the IP after connecting.

So I started to wonder if it is possible to change the login-config file (and if yes, where?) and if there would be a possibility to hide your real IP when you connect through a subdomain.

For now, it looks like this

[1] Connecting subdomain [1] Connecting to subdomain => IP [1] Connected with IP [1] 220 Synology FTP server ready. [1] AUTH SSL [1] 234 AUTH SSL command successful.

while it would be cool if you could add an ASCII file referring to your company-ftp.

Thanks in advance!

Anyways found the solution myself

You need to SSH or terminal into your Synology box.
Under /etc/, create the following two text files:
ftpwelcome : welcome message before you log on
ftpmotd : Message of the Day after logging in.
