I have a folder "Images" within a folder "Media on my iMac. I wanted it to be automatically updates each til$me a file is added/deleted/modified.

Being a NQS novice I tried following a video I found on the internet and seemed to have done it

I installed and used Synology Drive app, created a folder "Images", enabled it.

Although I can see all my files in the Images folder on the NAS, when I added a file, it didn't automatically appear on the NAS folder.
Any ideas ? Maybe I missed a step somewhere as the video became more and more diffculy$t for me to follow 8
Thanks in advance .. and anticipation !

How did you configure the sync task for this particular situation?

Bonjour,
Thank you for your response.
I have tried to redo the process by following a video "How to sync files from my computer to NAS synology."
I got to the stage where I had set up a team folder.
Then was asked to install 'Synology Drive Client' which I could find in the list. The alternative was to open Synology Drive, click on the icon bottom-left, then choose Client>Download Client.
This option does NOT appear in the menu ! When I click on 'Client' the page is blank
Therefore... for me total blockage !

If you are using 723 NAS here is the desktop utilities page with all the installations

Thanks for that, downloaded and used.
I thought I had completed the task, I opted for upload from Imac to NAS only (one-way).
I closed all applications then went back to the NAS .. BUT the two files in the home folder had not been added the the folder in the NAS
Still haven't got it right, have I ?

Well the files that are part of the sync task should be present inside the home/user/Drive/… folder structure.

Using File Station you are certain those files are missing?

Sorry for the dela in responding but I have several times cleaned up and retried setting up a Sync Task without success.

NOW I think it is done - I have a folder on iMac called Media and a folder in synology NAS also called Media which, on setup of the sync task, copied all folders and files across from computer to NAS.
But .. I have been working on a couple of Adobe InDesign files which are being modified almost daily and they are NOT being updated on the NAS.
Should I have set some sort of timing program for the transfer or should it REALLY work automatically as it had understood ?
Merci
Paul

I am not an InDesign user, so not sure how large the files are, but maybe it would be best to use a scratch drive/partition that you can use on your computer for those files while you are working with them, and when done put them on the location for them to sync up. It could be that InDesing is handling those files that they are not getting synced, not sure. So try and sync them when not being used by the app.
