Ï need to access my "shared folder" with all the photos accessable from within Synology Photos from outside "Synology Photos". Seems hidden somewhere..?

The settings on where shared space is, can be found on your DS in synology photos, right on top in the user, settings shared space. Typically this should be your shared folder /Photo

I see the folder /photo as you mention and it seems correct as one of my shared folders in the Control Panel of my Disk Station has that name and a relevant "shared folder size".
Now, my problem is to find that folder. I have searched and found none with that name. I have found two folders "Photos" which might have been created by Synology Photos - but the only content in those seems to be collected from my mobile which I don´t care about. Wherer are my files located, I need a folder path to "/photo" that seems hidden somewhere.

It should be a shared folder, and if you do not see it, it can be two things:
- you have not setup the permission to see it
- you cannot see it because you did not map the shared folder. ( use e.g. synology assistant to map it)

can y see it in the file manager on the ds ?

Of course I have permissons ..?
I have no problems to see my NAS content through the Explorer from my workstation in the network. I am the onlu user and administrator. This folder is not visible with any tool. I need the folder path.

And yes, I have double checked in the control panel that this shared folder is ok regarding my permissions.

And yes, I am a little irritated but would really appreciate some advice on how to identify the folder with the files - if not possible understand the functionality of Synology Photos.

ok thank you - you have actually been a great help so far for my understandung of the issue.
I keep on listening in this forum and have also posted it in other places.
