Hi everyone,

I just bought my first NAS, a DS220j.

I installed 2 HD in it and DSM.

Now I want to configure storage using Storage Manager.

By default my NSA was configured as SHR.
However, since security is not a big thing for me (I want to have as much storage space as possible), I would prefer to have the NAS configured as JBOD.

How do I change from SHR to JBOD ?!
When I try to remove the SHR storage pool, I get the error message that "please stop the following packages before proceeding: Audio, Video ...."

Am I right that, in order to change from SHR to JBOD, I need to remove the SHR storage pool first ?
How do I stop all packages/services and allow the pool to be removed ?

Thank you
Best,
Vincent

Most volume changes will require you to destroy the existing volume and use the drives from the pool to make a new type.

Your current plan will not work without destroying the volume 1st.

Ok thanks Rusty.
But how do I stop all services currently accessing the drive ?
I thought it would be more straightforward

Thank you, it worked (I could delete the volume), but I had to uninstall a few apps..
